I noticed on my seat of my car facing up with my 90 Cron and no lens cap wide open. I rushed and grabbed it and took off the lense. Smoke came out it also burned my film I just loaded. I am going to try some black Silicone, I will keep you poted with how it works out.

jerryharwood Posted June 3, 2010 Share #23 Posted June 3, 2010 My M6 suffered a burn hole when I was in Spain; I have to say it looked totally different ! It looked like a burn hole- blackened edges etc, whilst yours looks more like damage to me; I sent mine in to MK for repair, and it was a lot more expensive than £20.00 !! and it took three weeks... dennis25 Posted June 4, 2010 Author Share #24 Posted June 4, 2010 Thanks all for the reply. Film processed back today, I can confirm this is a burn hole! I think its because my 50 lux wide open pointing the sun. Solms estimate at least € 500 for the replacement. RedDot could get it CLA and repair for about £200. Expensive lesson learned!
