Xmas Posted June 5, 2010 Share #21 Posted June 5, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I'd not use locktite, as upon removal it can create debris, e.g. if you are using it in a engine oil environment you need to be careful, e.g. only using it on the last two threads at the external part, - i.e. don't try a drip on to the shutter button. Nail varnish is more normally used in cameras cause it will remove with nail varnish remover. You don't use it on the threads, merely across the interface between assembled parts. Simpler to not use an extension. Noel

Guest mc_k Posted June 5, 2010 Share #23 Posted June 5, 2010 I lost my third release today, a Bip. None of the brands seems to stay in. I would like one with a little recess on the top, with a little cord attached. After you screwed it in, you could clip the cord to the camera. Or make it a little taller, with a rotating collar, and attach a cord to that.
JHAG Posted June 5, 2010 Author Share #24 Posted June 5, 2010 Since I've lost the last one, I don't miss any of it. I'm a free man, at last.
