inuwan Posted May 27, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 27, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’m experiencing problems with my M9. The ISO button work previously but now when I press it nothing apprears. I’m also having problem with my menu. When I press the menu button the only thing that appears are the following items “color saturation”, “date”, “time”, “language”, “format sd card”. If I attempt to scroll, it does not display any new menu items – just these. It used to display the full set of options previously. I’ve always had problems with the date – when I set the date it will not be remembered and changes to some garage date – if I attempt to change the date by selecting the date/setting item – the camera just hangs. I’m on a vacation trip now out of the country and would like to have a way to fix the problem - is there a manual way to reset - I have don't have access to the reset option in the menu. Also the viewfinder only displays a round circle - it used to display the shutter speed. Any help would be appreciated.

jaapv Posted May 27, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 27, 2010 Has the camera reverted to snapshot mode by any chance? Check under the user menu that appears when you press set from a blank LCD.

stunsworth Posted May 29, 2010 Share #5 Posted May 29, 2010 It's Leica's attempt to turn the M9 into an "auto everything" camera, where the camera chooses as many of the settings as possible rather than the user.
