DavidMichaels Posted May 26, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 26, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) On my D-Lux 4, I downloaded some photos to my Mac book which looked fine in the camera and looked fine as a thumbnail but when they get beyond 1 inch x 1 inch some solid color banding takes over. The top 1/8 of the photo is fine then there is are 12 or so solid color bands. Any ideas?
Advertisement Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Hi DavidMichaels, Take a look here Color banding. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
cbretteville Posted May 28, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 28, 2010 If it is properly exposed it could be a sensor issue. Banding often occurred when the image is not exposed correctly. Send an image to Leica CS and ask for an opinion. Carl
ho_co Posted May 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 28, 2010 David--Welcome to the forum! Questions: Have you previously used the D-Lux 4 without this problem? You are downloading from card, right, not from camera? These are RWL files, aren't they, not JPG? And the stripes appear on all the files in the same places? First try downloading again. Maybe there was a glitch in the connection. You might also try another card. But if the same thing is happening on all the files, it may indeed be a camera problem, as Carl says. I'm at a loss. Could you upload a sample? A lot of people here are better at deciphering than I am.
