Guest user8952 Posted December 30, 2006 Share #21 Posted December 30, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) ... Semantics In my optics new is new and A+ is not new, otherwise it would be easier to describe as "new" a description one cannot easily get around for it means exactly what it says, namely NEW. I could call it pristine, excellent+, absolutely mint-, nearly minty, like new (and like new is not new!) http://www.westlicht-auction.com/index.php?id=8103&_ssl=off&lang=default

brunom Posted December 30, 2006 Share #22 Posted December 30, 2006 fux See Classic Cameras - Rare and Collectable Photographic Equipment – MWClassic.com and Aperture Photographic Tel. 020 7242 8681 both of whom use different classifications from the ones you have shown. Even shops that use the same system [ such as Ex++ ], sometimes apply different meanings to each classification. There are many different standards used in describing used equipment, something that can be confirmed by trawling aroung the net. Bruno
Bruno Frisch Posted December 30, 2006 Author Share #23 Posted December 30, 2006 Yes Fux, as Bruno (the other) had already done you can browse the web and come up with classifications endlessly. It's all in the mind, depends whom you're dealing with too I suppose.
