caimi Posted May 21, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted May 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I know how subjective a camera strap choice is but the piece of leather that comes with the X1 could not be a worse match for that particular camera. It's too long and too stiff. It gets in its own way. I'm curious what other X1 users have found that are better for such a small camera. Any suggestions? caimi Posted May 21, 2010 Author Share #3 Â Posted May 21, 2010 Nice looking A&A strap but in the picture it looks very similar to the one that came with the X1. How is it different?
jsrockit Posted May 21, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted May 21, 2010 Nice looking A&A strap but in the picture it looks very similar to the one that came with the X1. How is it different? Â It's glossy black leather, strong but not stiff, and it is shorter. Also, it is not too wide. It fits the size of the camera. I never paid attention to the one that came with the X1 much. Â What style strap are you looking for?
kanzlr Posted May 21, 2010 Share #5  Posted May 21, 2010 for my Ricoh GXR, thats similar in size and weight, I use an Annie Barton strap: Annie Barton casual 1972 | Wotanscraft | Thinktank | Gitzo | Powerex | Markins  bought at her eBay store: eBay Österreich: SMALL CAMERA LEATHER STRAP FOR LEICA OLYMPUS PANASONIC (Artikel 220562918694 endet 27.05.10 08:49:21 MESZ)  it is beautiful, but I would recommend to threat it to leather preserver to keep it smooth and flexible. DRabbit Posted May 21, 2010 Share #7 Â Posted May 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) You should see the ugly-butt strap I use on my M8, but I LOVE IT... it almost looks like an old guitar strap. It's some kind of embroidered material with like a velvet on the back and it's soft but strong. I hope to find something similar for the X1. I really do dislike the strap it came with. vicaf Posted May 21, 2010 Share #9 Â Posted May 21, 2010 Greetings - Â I am using a very soft black leather strap from Luigi at Leicatime that I took from my M8, intended for an M camera - it is brilliant on the X1 - highly recommended - Â Vic

carcam Posted May 21, 2010 Share #11 Â Posted May 21, 2010 I love the camera strap that came with the X1. Perfect size, easy to make into a wrist strap; nice, soft suede lining on the inside. I would have paid extra for it.

artyca Posted May 22, 2010 Share #15 Â Posted May 22, 2010 The original strap that came with the X1 suits me fine... Very well built and nice finishing. The only gripe i have is that those key rings are a pain to attach to the camera (not to mention that it scratches the camera's lugs!)
pvak Posted May 23, 2010 Share #16 Â Posted May 23, 2010 The original X1 strap, although very nice, I find to be too long and too stiff to be of much use. I use an original "M" strap which is very soft, flexible and adjustable in length. Peter
brill64 Posted May 23, 2010 Share #17  Posted May 23, 2010 One of these types DRabbit?  whilst nice, any of the metal parts of this strap will scratch your camera and lens, especially when stuffed into a larger camera bag
hg2303 Posted May 24, 2010 Share #18 Â Posted May 24, 2010 I have received my Luigi case from Leicatime, the strap is very flexible and is not stiff at all. I can highly recommend you to buy one!!! The leather has a perfect look and feel to me.
DRabbit Posted May 25, 2010 Share #19  Posted May 25, 2010 whilst nice, any of the metal parts of this strap will scratch your camera and lens, especially when stuffed into a larger camera bag  I found a similar one on ebay that is a little narrower and has a more traditional way of connecting to the camera.  The metal hasn't been a problem for me on my M8 at all. I rarely stuff my cameras into a bag and if I do I'm careful. I love these straps for their comfort and they stay on a shoulder really well, don't constantly slip off. Plus, I love the way they look
