35ASPH Posted May 25, 2010 Share #21 Posted May 25, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very nice color and skin tones. I got your play on words as well. I like how you interact with people and can open them up. Your Bhutan gallery is fabulous.

leicashot Posted June 1, 2010 Share #22 Posted June 1, 2010 This should be removed immediately by the moderators. Very wrong choice of title words
elansprint72 Posted June 2, 2010 Share #23 Posted June 2, 2010 I think we have a question of semantics here; from my Oxford Modern English Dictionary- babe: 1 literary- a baby. 2 an innocent person. 3 US slang- a young woman (often as a form of address. On this international forum we quite often have "slight misunderstandings" over the use of words, it is inevitable. If you have strong feelings about a post, press the "object button" and the Mods will take a view, usually very quickly, and act accordingly.

The term 'babe' is not US slang but a universal slang word used to describe attractive women usually of a sexual nature. Considering the children in the post are underage I feel the title needs to be changed if it was just a poor choice of words by the OP. Otherwise the whole post should be removed. I am surprised this hasn't been taken more seriously as yet.

"Thai Babes"... and then I see photos of "Thai Babies"... They are not Thai babies either, they are young girls.

I think US slang words like 'babe" tend to become universal because the US media has such an overwhelming influence on the version of English language absorbed by the rest of the world. Ken. I'm sure that the folks at the Oxford University Press will bow to your superior knowledge of the English language and amend their entry; I suggest that you tell them.
