rcoles Posted May 14, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Because of the great reviews on this site I booked a room and drove 5-hours to attend the Philadelphia Road Show. I had missed the closer DC presentation because I was attending the LHSA meeting in Savannah. For those wanting to try an M9 or test some new lenses I am sure it was well worth the time. I have an M9 with a 35 f2 and was not shopping for additional gear. Being new to Leica, my goal was to learn more about the M9 and its use from an experienced user of this system. Unfortunately the presentation was very rushed and truncated because of the instructor’s flight schedule to get to the next city. He also did not seem to be fully versed on all of the M9’s functions and features. Not the kind of valuable information and depth others have reported. Thankfully after the instructor left early the guest professional photographer did a good job and had tips about shooting with a Leica and workflow and we got to see many of his great Leica images. I am glad I went, but was disappointed with the quality and content of the M9 portion of the presentation, not what I expected from Leica. barcoder Posted May 14, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 14, 2010 I heard at the NYC roadshow that the content would be available online for attendees eventually.
rcoles Posted May 15, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted May 15, 2010 Thanks, that could be very helpful, I will keep an eye open. It would be even nicer if they did a video of a complete presentation. Bob
