h00ligan Posted May 19, 2010 Share #21 Posted May 19, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm not sticking up for him, but snapshots aren't necessarily a bad thing. Many people choose this style because they like it: Snapshot aesthetic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I wouldn't call him a bad photographer at all. I don't like his style, but he's better than many who post in this section. I get it, but if you profess to expertise, said expertise must be measurable. Snapshots don't make me think he's a photographer more than a (bad) technology reviewer. I am a technology expert, a beginner in photog......I need expert photographers thoughts, Ken Rockwell sure as ...well anything, hasn't shown me anywhere near the results users on these forums get.. Advertisement Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Hi h00ligan, Take a look here X1 tele and wide. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jsrockit Posted May 19, 2010 Share #22 Posted May 19, 2010 Ok, we disagree. Then again, I seem to like a different style of photography than most here. What others find boring, I tend to see as great. Now, don't get me wrong... I'm not calling KR great... I'm just saying he's better than most "vacation" photographers I see hanging around forums. KevinA Posted May 19, 2010 Author Share #23 Posted May 19, 2010 , just up rez-it with red giant software and convert to 24p and you have real HD resolution, 1080P, color correction etc;) FINAL CUT PRO Thanks too all for your comments, chris m. No you don't have real HD resolution, you have less than 1080p HD resolution up sized, zero gain in resolution. No upsizing program for video or stills adds any resolution, that would defy the laws of Physics and Murphy. Kevin.

Kevin. Your rite , I'm saying it the wrong way. Kevin All I can tell you is too visit red giants website, there is several different software that mimics the info to enlarge each frame, kind of like (Genuine Fractals 6) for still photography. Do you use FCP/ I full around with it, my buddy is a film editor and his company uses FCP and several other Motion Picture Editing Software with 1000's of plugins that do the kind of up sizing,, I do understand what your saying though, about "you can't make something out of nothing" but thats not what I'm saying. chris m. The last serious video editing I did was on a 3 machine tape to tape Umatic SP system and a bit on Media 100 when it was state of the art. I can see I will need to get onboard with the way the industry is going. The budgets I'm likely to work with will not allow a lot of time tweaking with plugins, just get the clips right with good colour will be the goal. Editing video is very time consuming, even more important I think is getting the sound right, a few picture glitches can be tolerated by the viewer but sound mistakes do not go unnoticed in my experience. Kevin. Yes, very true sound effects do not go unnoticed , I'm just a hobbyist who just pushes buttons and really dosn't know jack about (HOW) it happens, I'm still learning too, and editing is very time consuming, I usually give up. I try to video and take still correctly in order the first time then I save a bunch of time on the back end editing the tapes. Cheers:) chris m.
