Chris Huck Posted May 14, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Had my X1 less than a week and just getting to know it. It's really exceeding my expectations! Here's a 100% crop with only a tiny bit of PS sharpening. I love the bokeh!
Advertisement Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Hi Chris Huck, Take a look here Love the bokeh!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted May 14, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 14, 2010 Chris, welcome to the forum! While your picture only begins to demonstrate bokeh, with a little bit of tidying up the white daisies at the edges it would be interesting to see it as 'wall art'! Glad you share the enthusiasm of actual owners of the X1.
Julian Thompson Posted May 14, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 14, 2010 The bokeh is quite distinctive on the X1 - but not as smooth as the 35 cron M lens. It reminds me a lot of the 40 summicron C that I have, actually. A few more from me showing OOF rendering:
jsrockit Posted May 14, 2010 Share #4 Posted May 14, 2010 The bokeh is really nice for an f/2.8 lens.

jsrockit Posted May 14, 2010 Share #9 Posted May 14, 2010 I'm not so sure of that... I always thought the smaller sensor gave you better depth of field which in my head makes me think it would work against bokeh.

You are 100% right! the X1 has a large sensor (APS), not as large as the M9 (Full Frame). Pedro
