Lightroom 3 beta 2 won't open M8 DNGs

Hello fellow Leicanians, I have a problem.

 

I have just received my M8 and already taken a few test shots, everything seems to work fine so far. I shoot JPEG fine + DNG, since I'm already used to develop from RAW with my Olympus. But now Lightroom 3 beta 2, which I have currently installed, just won't open my M8s DNGs. It just freezes. I can't even kill the process!!!

 

Here's what I do: I start LR, go to the library, drag the DNGs from the Explorer to the LR window and wait. And then nothing happens. When I do this with my Olympus' ORFs, LR loads and previews them within seconds. With my M8's DNGs, nothing happens.

 

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

The problem just solved itself. It was that FRIKKIN DVD drive in my DELL laptop which won't turn on for five minutes after it stopped spinning. And Lightroom obviously had to check the DVD drive. ARGH!

My M8 DNGs are perfectly open and worked in LR 3 beta 2. No problems at all.

I'm on a Mac Book Air with OSX 10.6.something.
