Does the Pana GF1 qualify as a Leica for LUF?

What a bizarre thread this is, folks huffing and puffing about Leica "quality control" when elsewhere we are reading about the myriad problems with the M8, M9, S2, MP.... et al.

Seems to me this is more and more a fan-boy forum.

The immediately preceding question deserves an answer; too. :)

Most of those systems seem to pick whatever is closest to the photographer. To be honest an out of focus foreground seldom works as well as an oof background as it tends to distract from the main subject.

Thats where the GH and the FZ have it all ways to christmas over these non EVF systems. Put it in manual and blip the focus button. Spot on all the time.

You should tell the nose blob out of focus foreground for no reason 'I shoot wide open' for no good reason users about the second bit Steve:rolleyes::D.

For the purposes of this forum, Panasonics with Leica branded lenses are acceptable. Panasonics with Lumix lenses are not.

Panasonics with either brand of lenses are not Leicas. They are Panasonics.

I use a Chinese sun shade marked "For LECA Summicron M48" on the 20mm/1.7 Lumix ASPH lens, so it should qualify....

Isn't this thread rather silly?

I use a variety of cameras, including my Leica's, but I only post Leica photos here. If you want to post non-Leica shots on the web there are plenty of other photography sites out there.

Or, build your own website and provide a link in your signature.

This is a Leica orientated website, it's not flickr.
