Overgaard Posted May 3, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 3, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Quite many have asked for the other articles in the original series "100,000 exposures later" which was a blog series done for uber.com which unfortunately closed down as one of the first victims of the so-called financial crisis. The first article from March 2008 is now online and I'm working on getting all of them online again: leica.overgaard.dk - Thorsten Overgaard's Leica Pages - 100,000 exposures later ... [PART I] - A Film Shooter in a Digital Age Enjoy, and feel free to comment

nigelb Posted May 5, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 5, 2010 Thorsten, I so agree with your comments on 'Love of Photography' and 'Love of your camera'. It took me a long time to find the camera I loved and a number of years of uninspired photography following the initial excitement of going fully digital in 2000. Somehow, I was not getting the self satisfaction and inspiration that I was getting with film. I used to love my Pentaxes. I didn't go back to film though and plodded on until I found articles by you and John Thawley early this year. The result is that I now have a Digilux 2 and a Lumix LC1. Yes, I love these cameras but not only that, I love the results and the photography I am now inspired to do. I suppose I love using them so much, my wife is feeling uneasy. It's a whole new lease of life. I suppose its the simplicity of the cameras and the handling harking back to my old film days along with the sheer quality and naturalness of the images that does it for me. I feel totally at ease with these cameras and I know the results will do me proud. It is also great to be released from the megapixel rat race. I don't think there will ever be another camera like the Digilux 2 so I hope that the cameras last me as long as possible otherwise I will have to go through this long process all over again and I am sure that process will leave me disappointed.
