Guest lykoudos Posted December 24, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2006 Hello Mitchell, I find very interesting and beautiful admission. Particularly that into one another the mirror play. Amsterdam is a beautiful city. Many years ago I studied there classical Indian Sitar and in the Kroome Vaal used. stuny Posted December 24, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 24, 2006 Mitchell - A most interesting shot of contrasts, with the woman on the left looking rather sad and alone vs. the groups of animated talkers at the other tables. That loneliness is enhanced by the reflections distancing the others from the woman on the left, shown clearly without reflections. I would like to see this image bigger, though. mitchell Posted December 24, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted December 24, 2006 Wolfgang and Stuart, thanks for your comments. Much appreciated. Amsterdam is beautiful. So great for walking. Stuart, I would love to post larger, but I don't know how. I set resolution for 72. If I set pixel width for 960 or 800, and 8 or 9 inches, I always run over 244 K. What am I doing wrong. Thanks, Mitchell
msr Posted December 24, 2006 Share #5 Posted December 24, 2006 Mitchell, Nice work. In this photo & your Amsterdam canal photo there is a wonderful warm tonality that has a painterly quality about them. Malcolm

Guest lykoudos Posted December 24, 2006 Share #7 Posted December 24, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Mitchell, You are a large artist and have a view for the beautiful and low-intimate meetings of the daily life in the mirror of the face of humans. Thanks for your pictures. Me they are comfort straight on this day. In the next year I drive to 30 years again once to Amsterdam. Kind regards and a merry Christmas Wolfgang (MP grey hammer clay/tone, 2,8/28; 1,4/50; 2/90 ....... and nothing else)
mitchell Posted December 24, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted December 24, 2006 Thanks Malcolm and Wolfgang. You are very kind. The credit for the tone which I like very much must go to Leica and Jamie for his profiles. Best, Mitchell
wda Posted December 24, 2006 Share #9 Posted December 24, 2006 At first I thought the picture contained too many confusing elements. All becomes clearer in the bigger image. The reflections lend an air of mystery which is always welcome in a picture. I wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas. David
