gDallasK Posted May 3, 2010 Share #4 Posted May 3, 2010 Mine showed up on Saturday - ordered long, long ago from Robert White. Ironically, I had about given up on seeing them anytime soon, so had bought a couple of cheap copies on Fleabay, one from a German vendor and the other from HK. So far the German (sourced) battery has arrived. But it won't hold a charge ..... It's the hope that kills you. On the brighter side I now have three genuine Leica batteries for my M9. Make sure your German sourced battery isn't just exhibiting the usual symptom caused by it not having the extra circuitry inside to show the cameras battery meter what the charge level really is. If the charger lights show full, but the camera shows less, or even near empty, its the camera not reading the true charge. If you fully discharge the battery then recharge it the camera meter should show full again. Alternately if it shows near empty (and you know its just charged) and the camera keeps telling you the battery is low just press 'Set' and carry on shooting, eventually the camera will realise its wrong and show the true charge.
