Clandrel Posted April 24, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 24, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just got it. I can't believe how much better the M9 feels in my hands. Much better than the Leica handgrip. I got the one without logo, and it really looks nice too. C

viramati Posted April 25, 2010 Share #8 Posted April 25, 2010 logo and paint wear off pretty quickly. Personally I use the thumbs up and the leica grip together and find they totally transform the handling
gabriel Posted April 25, 2010 Share #9 Posted April 25, 2010 Robert White in England Robert White - Specialist Camera and Photographic Suppliers of Nikon, Canon, Leica, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Zeiss Ikon, Voigtlander, Quantum etc. also stock the complete range of thumbs up but they will probably all have the logo. Shade Posted April 25, 2010 Share #10 Posted April 25, 2010 I just changed my order hehe - into a Steel Grey No Logo..!
sblutter Posted April 25, 2010 Share #11 Posted April 25, 2010 I dipped mine in a liquid rubber product called Plasti Dip for a much more secure grip. I used 4 coats, was very easy, is removable, re-doable etc. While I was at it, did the legs of a Leica tabletop tripod that had long lost its feet - much better than the orig. I use it on the car hood often. Grips very well and doesn't scratch the car!
brill64 Posted April 25, 2010 Share #12 Posted April 25, 2010 ..you can remove the logo yourself using thinners, it worked on mine:)

Guest ccmsosse Posted April 26, 2010 Share #16 Posted April 26, 2010 BTW - has anyone tried it on a MP?
250swb Posted April 26, 2010 Share #17 Posted April 26, 2010 Why would it be needed on an MP? It already has a lever to brace your thumb against. Steve
WigglePig Posted April 26, 2010 Share #18 Posted April 26, 2010 Logo? What logo? Mine doesn't have a logo at all. Jason

Steve Thanks - that's what I needed to know - I am adding the MP to the M9 - so I am still clueless Cheers
250swb Posted April 26, 2010 Share #20 Posted April 26, 2010 Ahh, and excellent pair to own, I have an MP as well. I just said this in the other thread about M9 ergonomics, but with a Thumbs Up the feel of the digital body mimicks that of the film camera so makes it easy to transfer between the two quickly, you don't end up trying to invent new places to put your fingers and thumbs.
