mweiner Posted April 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The first image was the 3rd of 8 shots within about 2 minutes using the same subject/camera positions, lighting, and settings -- except for focus and portrait/landscape orientation. The first image here shows a halo to the left of the subject's hair. The other 2 below (as well as the other 5) shot before and after problem image show no halo. The light was mostly from open sky coming thru 2 large windows 30 feet to the right of the frame. 90mm Summicron APO at about f3.5, 1/12 sec hand held, DNG uncompressed developed C1 defaults to form friendly jpgs. Please help me understand the cause of the halo. Michael

zlatkob Posted April 21, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 21, 2010 The halo looks like a person in a white shirt walking by behind her. Notice the dark area at the top; that appears to be the person's head.

adan Posted April 21, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 21, 2010 Person in white shirt walked or stood at the bar behind the subject (out of focus) in one shot. No different than the "halos" (out-of-focus bar stool highlights) above her chair back.

cliffp Posted April 21, 2010 Share #7 Posted April 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks like the Ready Brek Glow. She had perhaps digested it before the 2nd and 3rd shots were taken.
