cheewai_m6 Posted April 20, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 20, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) this was taken at the australian grand prix this year of my favourite driver mark webber. impossible to avoid the safety fences. i had a nikon d90 with me but i was too close to the track to use the 80-200 lens i had on it. i only had 5 shots left on that roll of film so i thought i'd just use it up. great thing about the M cameras is the view finder. i could see the car coming out of frame, and i could track it. once it was in frame, click and got it. and of course you can see the moment of the shutter release. i know an m camera is no match for a dslr, but..... it did ok. leica m6, 50mm summicron (v3) on fuji superier 200. 1/125 @ F2.0. p.s. the uploaded photo looks absolutely terrible! my jpg shows the car SO MUCH sharper. i don't know why it's so bad. stuny Posted April 20, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 20, 2010 Nicely done. BTW: You might want to look at your new threads in "pre-view" so that you'll see if you need to make other adjustments. I've added some sharpening here, but doing it on your original copy would probably be better.
