bedaberger Posted April 18, 2010 Share #9 Posted April 18, 2010 this is excellent!!! the choosen surface materials look very realistic! what software did you use? some manufacturers also make animations, but I've never seen quality like this. Maybe you get some plans with the real dimensions from Leica for the Leica III? Just ask! Maybe you could get some money for your work... thx, Peter

larbel Posted April 19, 2010 Share #15 Posted April 19, 2010 Just my 2 cents worth.. Nowadays, almost 100% of the designs are done in 3D, especially if you're working with CNC or casted metal camera frame, you NEED CAD drawings like Solidworks, Pro-E or whatever they're using. So Leica DO have CAD drawings of their products, did they bother to render it with good lightings? Perhaps not, but when you're drawing 3D out of someone's design, the outcome becomes the original design owners' intellectual property automatically, so in theory, if they want, they can just send you C&D letter and legally grab whatever you have off you... I'm sure no one will bother with legal works as long as it's personal and recreational use, but when it turns into anything remotely linked to profit making, all hell will bring loose... My sincere advise would be make sure you mention this is for personal use purpose and let THEM decide if they like it and want to use it, but NEVER ask or make any offer... Nei1 Posted April 28, 2010 Share #20 Posted April 28, 2010 Very very nice, well done.Id have liked the camera with a pop up viewfinder rather than a flash,or perhaps this feature could have been interchangeable,a flash ,a viewfinder,a gps unit,whatever.......,but again stylish animation:)
