Advertisement Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Hi LVSBB6, Take a look here X1 36mm viewfinder. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jsrockit Posted April 14, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted April 14, 2010 I've been trying all over the US. The closest I got was missing one at Tamarkin by a few hours a few days ago. Called there this morning and still nothing. Also, e-mailed Dale in Florida and nothing as well. Calumet seems to have the best price I can find ($299 US), but they haven't received anything related to the X1 yet.

LVSBB6 Posted April 26, 2010 Author Share #5 Â Posted April 26, 2010 This has to be the hardest X1 part to find...is anyone selling theirs??
jsrockit Posted April 27, 2010 Share #6 Â Posted April 27, 2010 It is a bit ridiculous. The viewfinder really should have been included with the X1 for free. The LCD is unusable in bright sunlight and the VF is a necessity.

Krauthead Posted April 27, 2010 Share #8 Â Posted April 27, 2010 Why do Leica USA do us this way? Â Why Leica do us this way?
jsrockit Posted April 27, 2010 Share #9 Â Posted April 27, 2010 Leica USA seems a bit clueless in many ways. Huge timeframes for repairs, have no clue when accessories will arrive, etc.

Guest Chris M Posted May 12, 2010 Share #13 Â Posted May 12, 2010 ..is that the sbloo? got a pic? Â I got one of each , I got the 50mm, 90w/parallax adjustment and the 35mm all in mint mint condition just like the day when my father bought them brand new in NY, NY from the Leica Store in 1952. Anyways I'm recovering from back surgery, but I'll (try)?? to post some pic's, these viewfinders are just like diamonds, real jewels, the crystal they used back then from a special mine no longer is producing this (type) of crystal glass. Its so yummy, even me almost blind can see once again when viewing through them. Â chris m.
jsrockit Posted May 13, 2010 Share #14 Â Posted May 13, 2010 I had to bitch and moan and act like an idiot (to Leica and a US dealer) in order to get one promised to me by the end of the month. A lot of work in order to have the priviledge to buy something. I won't complain though. They could have just told me to F off.

elfer356 Posted May 18, 2010 Share #19  Posted May 18, 2010 I purchased both a viewfinder and handgrip from an online store in the UK called Harrisons; harrisoncameras.co.uk and had them shipped to me here in Australia. Price is £239 for the viewfinder and £89 for the grip. It makes the viewfinder about USD$350 minus shipping. They were great to deal with in every respect. Hope this helps.
