It’s a positive signal for all the users of Leica products and for the interested public. I hope that the question isn’t arrogant but why did the company choose Solms and the factory in the land of nowhere as location for a "flagship store" instead making use of the by far more charming city of Wetzlar? Being nearby Solms, Wetzlar represents the historical start of the Leica photography and beside seeing this city with it´s beautiful historical centre as a little treasure for photographers it´s in my modest opinion the "emotional" home of Leica. So the location of the new shop in Solms appears to be a missed opportunity to me but there might always be a chance to correct a decision or to think about a shop in the city where the Leica story had it´s start. <o>And of cause I hope too that Axel Hartmann is there!</o> <!--EndFragment--> Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hallo Holger1, viele verbinden den Shop in Solms mit Axel Hartmann und wenn dann über die Neugestaltung des Shops in Solms so ausführlich berichtet wird, Axel Hartmann aber unerwähnt bleibt, dann ist doch eine Nachfrage berechtigt. Ich freue mich sehr über den Inhalt der Antwort, die man in der Form auch weniger herablassend als "... wo sonst ..." hätte formulieren können. Trotzdem vielen Dank für die effiziente Information ! But I doubt that is what you expect. The Leitz Park will be located in an industrial area at the outskirts of the town, hardly the most scenic part of Wetzlar.
