Andy: Leave your kazoo and banjo at home. Rolo: Know any decent photographers? The last fella didn't even have colour film.
elansprint72 Posted April 8, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 8, 2010 "They say this town is full of cozenage, As nimble jugglers that deceive the eye, Dark-working sorcerers that change the mind, Soul-killing witches that deform the body, Disguised cheaters, prating mountebanks, And many such-like liberties of sin:" I'll try to make it too, though don't ask me for any more quotes from the play, after all, as Falstaff once said: "Away, you scullion! you rampallion! you fustilarian! I'll tickle your catastrophe."

Falstaff Posted April 9, 2010 Share #8 Posted April 9, 2010 You can never tell, he's a dark horse. Wash your mouth out boy. Dave, just saw this, will try and make it. Falstaff
Rolo Posted April 9, 2010 Share #9 Posted April 9, 2010 Rolo: Know any decent photographers? The last fella didn't even have colour film. I know lots, but I'm not amongst them. M9 and all my lenses have gone to Solms for the summer season. My 1D4 and 2 lenses have gone to Canon for 4 days, for the same reason. Will there be any Humble Pie on offer tonight ? What will Zach be wearing ?
stunsworth Posted April 9, 2010 Share #10 Posted April 9, 2010 Dave, can't make it tonight I'm afraid - I'll be somewhere between the south coast and Manchester. Have a good one.

Rolo Posted April 9, 2010 Share #14 Posted April 9, 2010 Well, it was a great evening spent with splendid company. Falstaff and Cocker were there too supporting their fellow member. Dave spoke for both photographers on show and never have words been so well received by a hostile audience. He was great. Sarah's cakes stole the show as usual. elansprint72 Posted April 9, 2010 Share #15 Posted April 9, 2010 Glad that it went well; water supply now restored chez moi; albeit a little brownish. btw: we need to sort out a date and venue for Lord Barton's XI Summertime Walkabout.

andybarton Posted April 10, 2010 Share #17 Posted April 10, 2010 btw: we need to sort out a date and venue for Lord Barton's XI Summertime Walkabout. At the beginning of 2009, my social secretary, based in the disparate part of the estate in Sale, provided me with a complete list of all "interesting" motor events, rallies etc, in the NW. He has forgotten to do so this year, and I will have to have words. One of the rallies in one of my brother's stately homes in south Cheshire would be a good place to start. I am off to Aintree today to lose part of the family fortune on a donkey.
