I have been back for a couple weeks from Greece where I visited Athens, Crete, Santorini, and some other islands.

The M9 was a little bit of a learning curve since I did not have the opportunity to shoot it prior since it arrived the day before I flew out. I shot approx 800 images during the 7 day trip.

It did take a little getting use to the focus but it came back to me after a little while. Reminded me of the days when I started out in the 70's with my Yashica Twin Lens and then it made me smile since it felt like I was back to basics in the 90's with my 500c or Sinar X.

I did operate in "Aper" mode to get a good feel for the camera and one thing I noticed was the meter system is definitely a pleasure! No more 90 point meter and blah, blah, blah! The meter system makes you think! I had several times I had to trick the shutter speed to get a nice even lit image so highlights were not blown or shadows too dark. I am now at manual since I have a feel for the camera and lens (35 2 cron, 50 1,4 Summ Pre)

Funny Story: I had a young guy see my camera and he said "Whoaaa that is an old camera how trick! He asked to see it and then asked if he could snap some pics and I said sure so click, click he went. I said "hmmmm you did not focus and his reply was "yes I did I pushed the shutter button half way down. LOL he was in awe and when I asked if he was going to trade in his Canon 7D he said no the Leica was too advanced for him and beyond his skill level. However he said he really liked the Leica.

I wish I would have shot more pictures but the trip was so rushed.

I think the controls are the best! No more silly non-sense stupid buttons like I have on my Nikon's. I love the KISS principal when it comes to photography. Think about the shot not the flux capacitor button :).

Well here are a few shots and will upload more later.

I have had the same experience with a girl in Cuba that wanted to take a shot of me, of course I was reluctant, but in the end I gave her the cam, she took it, tried to see on the LCD, of course there was no live view, then looked through the viewfinder and snaped a couple. Obviously all out of focus...

Having to explain how to focus, destroys the moment. But if you do care to explain people shoot accurately.
