Cute kitty :D

Based on these images I'm glad that I went with the X1 (mine is in the mail). The depth field allowing for an uncluttered background, the rich color, and detail noticeable in the cat's fur and eyes show the X1 really be great camera.

I agreed X1 has the rich color, but not only rich color, also more creamy color, like oil painting. here is one of the photo I shot with X1, jepg right out come from. ;)

After trying an X1 last Friday I rejected it as a viable purchase option.

Handles poorly physically, and is unintuitive too.

AF hopelessly slow, Leica still haven't got that one sorted yet?

Sticking to the D2 plus film M's.

Also tried the GF1, which on cursory examination might appear an attractive option but the unbelievably busy menus and controls drive you beserk and that's before you tried to do manual focussing with an old M lens.

Having said all that, I do like that picture of the fruit, very nice palette indeed.

:-)

Harryliem, that is an excellent close shot of fruit. Not only colour, but exposure handling, depth of field and general rendering. Imagine how it might look post raw processing!
