Although I haven't used my X1 for a really long time, I already have a strong feeling that it does grow on me and it works like a part of my body. I have had a similar feeling before with Ricoh GR Digital. But comparing with X1, GRD is such a joke.

I'm addicted to taking pictures with my X1... This is something I didn't expect before. Wonderful!

i'm more than happy with my x1..i have printed out this image on metallic paper at a whopping 30x43" and had it framed for a friend of mine. it now sits on a wall in his apartment. i can literally walk into that space and it glows. i used c1 to carefully process the dng to tiff and step up the file size. 1/00 f3.5 iso100

The clarity and sharpness factor in definitely. This is a bit oversharpened I think but, for a casual snapshot, good on that front. Seems to be a lot of headroom in the RAW files...is that what others are seeing?

Great shot Edward, lovely bokehs and great clarity/detail on the subject. Maybe a little too sharp, softening it a little bit can help hide a few years ;)

But I agree, as great as the JPGs are from the X1, the RAW files really allow for more brutal post-processing. Especially for the occasionally mis-exposed shots.

Thanks Eddie. I obvious did sharpen this after the fact.. and I chose this of three different versions because to me it had the most character. I think if I shot my girlfriend I would not sharpen like this lest I find myself beheaded for posting a photo that could show skin imperfections!

I gave it another shot.. some recreation in my back yard. That's not CA, fwiw, it's refraction of light. Anyway, I thought I would share my basic stock art shot with the x1 (I try to shoot random things for website art - which is really small)... anyway - The thing about it is, the dynamic range(sharpness and noise too) is astounding for a camera this size.

Just bought Nik's complete suite, was a steal at $330 but only works with lightroom/aperture.

First test of the suite, took only 10 minutes tweaking here and there.

Shot was taken at supper in a friendly Indian Restaurant after midnight.

Comments??
