PCs are better for the economy because they require more IT people to maintain them. ;)

Also, they require more software writers to devise new anti-virus software and patches. (although that means firms have less to left over for other things, hmm...)

Mac Mini.

17wide Fujitsu-Siemens laptop, 2GHz; 2GB RAM. Still ok, pretty good screen.

HEALTH WARNING:

On behalf of all the Newbies who, having just sunk an extraordinary amount of money into one of the best camera brands on this Earth whilst possibly straining their marital relationship to the brink in the process, please do not get an inferiority complex whilst reading this seemingly infinite list of 'the surplus kit I have and wish to boast about' : whilst realising that you 'only' have a simple pc or basic mac. It matters not one jot.

Get to know your chosen camera intimately, practise, experiment and post for others to critique. Eventually win accolades and awards and I'll bet that you still won't need multiple 24" Cinema screens, twin processors and microwave speeds to do so. Msr Bresson didn't and nor do you.
