kidigital Posted March 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Maybe I missed something along the way ... but my M9 images, when processed through C1, don't display an f-stop value. This is on all of my lenses. Is this only with C1? Kurt
Advertisement Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Hi kidigital, Take a look here Does C1 display f-stop information for M9 images?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ario Arioldi Posted March 15, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 15, 2010 With C1 I can see the estimated f stop of my M9 files. Cheers, Ario
kidigital Posted March 15, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted March 15, 2010 Thanks Ario. For some reason, I'm not getting an estimated value (lenses are coded and very new). I just tried polishing the sensor that reads the coding and wiping off the codes ... but that's not doing anything either. Kurt
UliWer Posted March 15, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 15, 2010 Which version of C1 do you use? The f-stop information wasn't there in earlier version, but you should have it since version 5.0 or 5.1.
kidigital Posted March 15, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted March 15, 2010 I have 5.0.2 loaded and am downloading 5.1 right now to see if that makes a difference.
kidigital Posted March 15, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted March 15, 2010 Version 5.1 of C1 did the trick .... the estimates are bit off, though, especially on the new Noct.
AGeoJO Posted March 15, 2010 Share #7 Posted March 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Version 5.1 of C1 did the trick .... the estimates are bit off, though, especially on the new Noct. Kurt, update the firmware and see whether it gets better. Supposedly, one of the issues that Leica addressed with the new firmware is the max f/ value of that new Nocti lens. Since the estimated value is based on the max value and that is off with the previous firmware, then the estimated value would be off, too. I hope the new firmware will fix this particular issue. On a different note, you made me think about this lens.... Bad, bad bad .
