stuny Posted March 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The only time I can recall seeing a prettier gull was in the Galapagos. This is a dolphin gull on Sea Lion Island in the Falklands. Visit our site to see many more photos from our recent visit to the Falkland Islands and northern Chile. msk2193 Posted March 15, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 15, 2010 Stu, What was the longest lens you had on you in the Galapagos, or should I ask what is the longest you wish you had there? I am heading there in a month! Thanks in advance.

stuny Posted March 15, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted March 15, 2010 Herb, Paul & Gadge - Thank you. Michael - That was BL - Before Leica. At that time I traveled with two OM-2 bodies with a 28-200 Tamron on one, and a 500 mirror Tamron on the other. I only used the 500 for close-ups, such as Barbara & Stu's Excellent Vacations, Barbara & Stu's Excellent Vacations, and for rare distant shots of small birds, such as Barbara & Stu's Excellent Vacations. Generally you'll be very close to just about everything, including flamingos, which is remarkable when you realize that in most places they try to stay 500 meters away. PM me if you want to discuss the trip.
