Fotomiguel Posted March 12, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 12, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone knows how can I get the red half sphere of the lens. I've lost two of my most used lenses. Where can I buy some? Is normal to loose it? My lenses have a normal use and I treat them gently. Thank you. k_g_wolf ✝ Posted March 12, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 12, 2010 >> Miguel You could send an e-mail to LEICA- Customer - Service. Give them your address and they will most likely send you some free of charge. Certainly they will do so, when you tell them you are planning a second M9 ... Best GEORG ____________ PS: great photos in your M9- gallery.
ho_co Posted March 12, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 12, 2010 Miguel-- Georg is correct. These red dots are common replacement parts. Is it common to lose one? No, but not uncommon. The color of the dots has varied through the years. My guess is that Leitz/Leica tried various materials. Losing the red dot seems to be more common with some lenses than with others, possibly for that reason.
