You should make sure that Luigi´s mail address is not stopped by your spam filter.

I just ordered this morning a Luigi half case with “built-in-grip” for Leia M9 in the color “Natural Aged Brown” with removable back door, deluxe strap, and cut-out for the Thumbs-UP CSEP-1.

Luigi confirmed the order after just 36 minutes!

Luigi says the case will ship "soon" after the payment is received.

Best regards

Trond

No problems there- have bought items in the past through this email. Both my wife and I have run email servers, and no issue there.

My wife sent another email from a different address last night. We'll see if this attempt works any better. Thanks for the thoughts.

I know, I find it rather odd too. I have two emails I use regularly. Few years ago I used my gmail to order something from him without any delays. This time I used the same gmail to write, no respond at all. I tried a few times since November, and nothing came back.

I decided in January to write him again using my yahoo email. I got a respond almost immediately. We exchanged a few emails before finalizing the order. The only wait I had to go through was to allow time for him to customize the case!

So, in short, if you have another email, do try and write him.

I am sure that there can be many reasons for the communication (email) difficulty and each of us may have a different experience. I only have Gmail, so that is what I used. I have nothing in my Junk E-mail folder from him, so I do not believe that is the explanation. In any case, I was seeking advice as to how one of his cases could be modified and people were kind enough to offer it.

Thanks

Dan

I just got my case from Luigi.... black with red stiching. I got it in 3 days and he responds to my email within a half a day time. With me, his service was very good..... Since this is my first post, I have to say that I am in no way affiliated with the man.... just a happy customer.

I wanted to order a Luigi case as well a while back but could not get a hold of him through e-mail. I ended up getting one from Zhou which is much cheaper but without the cut out for thumbs up. The quality is decent and protects my M8.2 well. By reading this post, I will try to find a shoe repair shop to cut it out and stitch it.

..ever since cutting the stitched section of my black luigi half-case out to fit a thumbs-up device, i've regretted it completely since i rarely use the thumbs-up any more. my advice would be, don't cut it and if you want to use a thumbs-up, use it without a case attached or with a hand grip. if you decide to cut it yourself, remember that it also has to be stitched and glued properly since the velvet lining will come away. if you want it done precisely then you have to send it back to luigi but then you will have difficulties with italian customs paperwork and how busy luigi is himself to do it. like isalan above, you could just used it pressed into your half case without the need for cutting it

This may be to late for you but I use the thumbs up over the Luigi half case without trimming and find it very comfortable. It worked well on my M8 and it still works on my M9.

Does the thumbs up put alot of stress on the shoe mount? any pics of how it looks like? TIA

We'll, the fifth day of our latest attempt with no response from Luigi. We have tried three different emails numerous times over the last month and a half, the last one from my wife's work email which worked fine in December. Maybe we accidently offended him . My wife in her email was exceptionally polite.

it could be your service provider and all mails get directed to his spam folder. by chance this can happen. i wouldn't take it personally, though, there will be a reasonable explanation. also, it's useful to know exactly what you want the first time round without changing your order, type, colour, etc. this brings about delay. have you got payment exactly right? this is a bit complicated and not 100% clear. paypal coming from credit card, for example incurs a 15% surcharge. anyway, hope you get it all sorted out soon enough..

I have bought three items in the last 6 months from Luigi from the email address I used last Wednesday. My wife administers the mail server at a major international company, among other duties, so nothing has been added. The emails was exteremely exact about the product with the exact mailing address- I have dealt with Luigi before, and know the confusion that can ensue, but once contact is made, it is usually worked out quickly. At this point, I won't make payment until Luigi responds- how transactions were made in the past. Paypal amounts are easily worked out through XE - The World's Favorite Currency and Foreign Exchange Site.

My company's mail server (emailed last month from this account) is handled by my IT staff, and my account specifically does not have any filtering at my request. We have our own T3 lines between offices and our line provider, Patec, so filtering is not occurring there. Before I developed an IT department, I used to run the servers with one of my staff, so I know a little something about them.

At this point, I guess we'll just wait :D.

I ordered a M9 half case with the Thumbs UP cutout from Luigi last Saturday.

The case arrived today in the mail, exactly one week after I placed the order.

The case in the color of "naturally aged brown" looks extremely nice on the black M9.

Highly recommended!

Best regards

Trond

Luigi responded today- to all three emails at the same time!- January, February an March emails from three different accounts. Ends up they all work with him, just took a few days to respond.

Not much on communications, but I customized and order (straps and wriststrap with special fasteners) and had it worked out in 20 minutes.

I guess patience is a virtue :D:D.

He's snowed under at the moment, I got a reply from him fairly promptly, but this was his reply;

"Dear Daniel, I am sorry, but I have a delay on the email’s answering,

with more than 3000 unanswered messages ! I sleep 4 hours per night !"

Probably best just to wait until he gets through the backlog.

Daniel.

I have been trying for weeks as well, that is why I gave up on the option. When I found a case in the shop I just had to get it, even if it did not have the Thumbs Up cut out.

Luigi was out for 2 few weeks [vacation?] and has returned.

He does make a case with a thumbs up cutout

I ordered this morning and he said he would in 2-3 weeks.

I got my half case with the thumbs up cut-out after a considerable waiting time, due to his absence. But it finally arrived, and a beautiful thing it was, well worth waiting for.

Now I´m waiting for the silver grey CSEP1, which should be available in the not too distant future, according to the guy who makes them. He has a silver grey M9 too and will of course have one in the proper color for himself.

Åmund.
