daveleo Posted March 10, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 10, 2010 hi Dave i hope you don't mind my doing this, but i think this is the same bridge in a photo i took while we were in Savannah, GA a few years back. . . is it? i can't decide if it is. we were on the river walk at this time. cable-stayed bridges are fascinating and getting shot with boats under them is extra neat ! likalar Posted March 10, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 10, 2010 Dave (which one?), Very nice bridge shot, especially including the vessel. Engineering marvels, these structures, and it's nice to see this newer bridge-think in action. Are the structure to the right from an old bridge or for another new one? RPS Posted March 10, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 10, 2010 i think this is the same bridge in a photo i took while we were in Savannah, GA a few years back. . . is it? I'm highly confident there's only one such cable-stayed bridge like this adjacent downtown Savannah. This is the Talmage Memorial Bridge, named after Eugene Talmadge (not one of our state's shining examples of political statesmanship.) This bridge provides direct vehicular access between Savannah and South Carolina.
pauledell Posted March 10, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 10, 2010 Dave, Great composition, subtle colors and clarity. Also, the symbolism of transportation that you have pointed out. Paul
