poptart Posted March 7, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have one on order but haven't gotten it yet but thought I would start a thread similar to the M9 delivery thread. If you have gotten your 50, let us know!
Advertisement Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Hi poptart, Take a look here 50 lux ASPH delivery registry. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
richfx Posted March 7, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 7, 2010 Ordered October 12 from Camera Wholesalers in Stamford, CT with an M9 and 28mm Elmarit ASPH. In late January, after delivering the M9 and 28mm, they gave up trying to get a 50mm Summilux ASPH and returned my money (I was pretty shocked, as they knew I was prepared to wait until one came in). After calling eleven dealers on Leica's website in the following days, I miraculously happened upon one at Allen's Cameras in PA. Allen could not be a nicer or more professional fellow. Great lens, especially in low light. The trick is a steady hand (haven't resorted to a tripod yet). Rich

Logic108 Posted March 7, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 7, 2010 Got mine last November. Just walked into my local camera shop and they had it in stock. Although according to their website it's now showing as out of stock. Just got lucky I guess.
rebelfocus Posted March 7, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 7, 2010 I recently posted on another thread. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/customer-forum/118029-50-lux-asph-arrived-after-4-a.html I had to wait over 4 months and that was with paying cash up front at a dealer who has an excellent track record of getting stock against all odds (ffordes in the UK). It seems to be easer to get an M9 than a 50 Lux ASPH these days :-) Good luck with your quest!
