mochi Posted March 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 4, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I placed black tape over the M6 logo on the front of my camera and when I removed the tape the black letters came off. I wanted to know if this can be restored. If yes, how do I go about getting this done. I live in the Northern California area. I'm really bummed! Thanks in advance for your help! SJP Posted March 4, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 4, 2010 Buy a can of black gloss paint, paint over the M6 logo indentations inclusing the surrounding top plate. Use a tissue lightly impregnated with white spirit or whatever to remove the excess, just wipe over the surface around the "M6" indentations. Leave to dry. After drying use "thinner" (ethylacetate) to make sure there is no "haze" residue outside the letters. Don't forget to clean the surface before painting (again with white spirits or ethylacetate). The offical method would be using a steady hand and a fine brush (and no coffee 24h before attempting the task).

earleygallery Posted March 5, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 5, 2010 Maybe white paint is better?
