earleygallery Posted March 3, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I often find numerous threads on the same subject, posted within short timeframes. Sometimes this is because the person starting the duplicate thread hasn't bothered to look down the page or use the search function (there are about 15 separate threads in the X1 forum on the subject of accessory viewfinders!! - and yes I understand that if there was an older thread one might want an 'up to date' opinion on something) but equally, people use meaningless thread titles. So, if one is asking "50mm Elmar or Summarit which is better overall" use that as the title not "Going to the World Cup what should I bring?" for example. Or if you're writing a thread about the 'New Sony camera which looks likely to challenge X1' don't use 'There could be trouble ahead'........ Thread titles are just that - you're not making up the title for a novel so it doesn't have to be flowery or intriguing. OK, that is all - sorry it's been bugging me for a while now!
