Jark89 Posted March 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 2, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, I'm curious as to what programs everyone uses for editing movies from the D-Lux 4. I tried Windows Live Movie Maker, however it has the issue of "cropping" the movie with black borders all around, despite having the correct aspect ratio. Any suggestions? zenonzinonos Posted March 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 2, 2010 iMovie by Apple, which allows you to add music, stills, titles and narration as well as transition effects such as fade in/out and dissolve - free with any Mac!
bill Posted March 2, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 2, 2010 Interesting question - what if you are a Windows user? Regards, Bill
Jark89 Posted March 3, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted March 3, 2010 Right, unfortunately iMovie is not available for Windows. The new Windows Live Movie Maker is atrocious, it doesn't even have a timeline anymore!
regedit Posted March 3, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 3, 2010 Muvee Autoproducer is one of the best Windows editing software. Intelligent cut scenes, simple flow, themes and so on. It's not free but worth every cent!
kalina Posted March 3, 2010 Share #6 Posted March 3, 2010 You can use something as simple as Quicktime Pro to edit your DL4 movies and you can save your movies in different formats, too!
Gift Posted March 3, 2010 Share #7 Posted March 3, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. A real movie editor at affordable price. Everything you would expect from a professional editor. Includes DVD Arquitect, another fine tool to burn dvd. In both your imagination is the limit, not the program. My Two Cents. Jark89 Posted March 3, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted March 3, 2010 Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'll look into those programs!
pinetar Posted March 6, 2010 Share #9 Posted March 6, 2010 QuickTime pro is not a movie editor but is extremely powerful if you purchase a manual on it. It will however do the job for you. If the D-lux was any other format than .mov, I would have not purchased it.
