If anyone sees/ is offered/ has in his possession a M4-2 with serial number 1529205 please be aware that it was stolen from my home 30 months ago and I miss it very much...

Leica D-Lux4 Leica X-1 Panasonic DMC-LC1 Kodak V-550 iPhone 5S Olympus OM-1 I did have a M4-2, but it was stolen in December 2011 (Serial No 1529205) together with a 40mm Summicron-C lens (Serial No 2679176) I mention the serial numbers in case you come across them somewhere...

It is not for sure an "action" camera and the viewfinder is very bad, with the sun light...forget it....Will need to try the Olympus eye viewfinder and give it another round. It will possibly speed up things too. I too have an X1 and have found the Olympus viewfinder extremely useful - especially as I live in Cyprus, where we have 300 days of sunshine a year! Great photo, BTW...

Excellent - After taking the photograph, I just depress the shutter button slightly without taking my eye away from the viewfinder and LCD clears! Thanks very much for the tip...

I have 'Auto Review' set for 3 seconds and 'Ext Viewfinder' set to ON, but the LCD remains illuminated permanently after each exposure, unless I go into the menu and reset 'Ext Viewfinder' or keep pressing the INFO button until it goes blank...

I have the opposite problem - with the OVF mounted and selected in the menu, I have to switch off the LCD manually after every shot! Is this normal or does my X1 have a problem?

I have the Olympus VF-1 and am very happy with it, although it is not accurate for anything closer than 1 metre or so - unlike the Leica viewfinder, it does not have an additional dotted line to compensate for this.

I think that you are confusing the D-Lux2 with the Digilux2, that's why the specs and appearance are different...

Rather get the VF1 optical viewfinder - the X1 has a fixed focal length, so you probably just need a viewfinder for composing (if you set the focus to auto)

I've searched through the forum and can only find X1 or X2 threads referring to this viewfinder - does anyone have any experience using it on a D-Lux4? I appreciate that it's designed for the equivelant of a 35mm lens but that's not a problem for me as I usually set my zoom to that focal length anyway (old habits die hard).
