Leaves in frozen ice cubes.

 

Edwin, you rascal . . . i tried that (with an orange slice) and could NOT get it to work . . . my ice cubes cracked internally and were not very transparent . . . is there a secret ?

Not much of a secret, Dave. I had frozen a shallow depth first, wet the leave and placed it on top for the 2nd freezing stage, later on add another shallow pool of water .... voila. Mine also had the crack, despite i had already used icy cold water, lucky for me the crack happened at the bottom edge so it didn't really matter. Btw you might like to try distilled water, some said it's more transparent when frozen .... will look forward to your orange slice in frozen ice cubes :)
