I thought I would not get the chance to post anything in this thread as all water has been in solid form around here. But now it has happened. The snow is melting and there is water everywhere. :D

Your cropped image immediately brought to mind orange peel. What a great effect!

 

Here is a second contribution. M9 + Zeiss 35/2 Biogon. The image has been desaturated using Lightroom. It has also been the subject to quite a bit of cropping, but without the orange peel effect.:)

I find the relationship between the rock on the sand with the girls on it and the rock in the sea with what appears to be a small tower or post on it fascinating for some strange reason.

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! And yes the camera survived that and many other situations well. At least it was working yesterday evening when I again had a chance to shoot a picture with water in it:
