bap Posted February 26, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted February 26, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if there is any difference in the Warranty between buying an x1 from the US or Europe ? or any other reason that would favor buying in the Stares ? pappde Posted February 27, 2010 Share #5 Â Posted February 27, 2010 yes but is it ...I have a choice ...just wanted to know if there was a difference buy the way the European one is $100.00 less As I said before. The warranty is the same, Leica has a Worldwide warranty. In the US there is no tariff for photo equipment, depending on the European price, shipping cost and Euro to USD exchange you can save some money. I bought my X1 @LeicaShop.com in Austria for Euro 1299 with Euro 80 shipping. That was a $129 savings compared to US price of $1995 with free shipping. My reason for buying overseas was not to save money, but to get the camera earlier. I got mine on the 15th and no X1 was sold in the US as of today. Will be there on Monday to have a closer look, provided it's still there. So some shipments seem to have arrived.
jsrockit Posted February 28, 2010 Share #7 Â Posted February 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) One? Jesus, that's ridiculous. That makes me think the allocations won't be that large at even the largest Leica dealer in the US.
