steich Posted December 15, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 15, 2006 Hi, just got my Digilux2 back from Solms yesterday- while it was there (just for cleaning, no major problems), I heard of the recall rumors and asked the CS people. Answer: they have heard about Panasonic´s sensor problems, they have checked if the Leicas suffered from the same sensor failures- and, obviously, the Digiluxs seem to be ok. Let´s wait and see. Tim B Posted December 15, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 15, 2006 Alan, If you search the Digital Forum for a thread on D2 sensor problems you will find that I and many others have had our D2s' sensors fail completely. Mine was a couple of months before end of warranty, fortunately, and is presently at Solms being repaired. So, I'm afraid that there certainly is a problem with some (quite a lot of) D2s. Stefan, I hope that yours had a really good check over - maybe they even replaced your sensor while they were at it.
