Gotham Historian Posted February 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was wondering if anybody used this M6 black leather combination case #14840? It looks absolutely gorgeous and may be a fine alternative to the Billingham bag if one could find one nowadays. I imagine it should fit the M8 nicely if it fits the M6, but I'll have to fit the M8, a spare lens and the charger as well. Does anybody know the dimensions of this bag as well as the interior compartments? Thanks!

mby Posted February 21, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2010 I was wondering if anybody used this M6 black leather combination case #14840?(...) I have one, but only the brown variant (bought 20+ years ago). Didn't use it much as there's not enough padding for my taste, the thingy is too rigid and wide for the lens plus the 'foam' padding left marks on the black chrome of my M6. If you're interested, I'll take some measure tomorrow... Best regards, Michael
jaapv Posted February 21, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 21, 2010 Yes- it is my main bag. It holds the M9 with five largish lenses (Elmarit 28, Summilux 24, Summicron 35asph,Summilux 50 asph, ApoSummicron 90 asph), SF24D flash, charger, five batteries, and odds and ends. Two lenses are with a coupling rear cap, one lives in a little secret compartmen. I have modified it only very slightly with some extra padding for the lenses, strap pad, etc. It is considerably more spacious than the Billingham. Welcome, dear visitor! Gotham Historian Posted February 23, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted February 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) You've got 12 hrs left on this auction. I emailed Adorama and it's used but clean. I'm looking for a brand new one, as I don't like the idea of a used bag, but I suspect these bags were discontinued in the late 1990s. Maybe the Billingham will be my bag afterall.
