RCW Posted February 23, 2010 Share #11 Â Posted February 23, 2010 I bought an X1 in Christchurch, New Zealand, on 11 December. This turned out to be a pre-production unit, with an early version of firmware and no handbook. Apparently this one was released for sale by mistake. Leica New Zealand exchanged it on 5 February for a new one, complete with handbook and firmware 1.0. Excellent service. Â So X1s are starting to be distributed in these parts, chaps. Latecomer Posted February 23, 2010 Share #12 Â Posted February 23, 2010 I bought mine yesterday. It's a little ripper!! Sure it is slow, but not nearly as bad as the Ricoh GX100 I used to have. Suits my purposes and makes very satisfactory pictures. Photo Production House in Pahran. Â Regards, John

hoppyman Posted February 28, 2010 Share #19 Â Posted February 28, 2010 In fact Australia received a significant initial shipment. More are expected in March. Your dealer is the best person to ask about supply as they can check with the distributor for you.
