SiOnara Posted February 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) .....but the more and more pics I see from the X1 makes me think this is a very, very nice little camera. In the hands of a good photographer, it is capably of taking a mean picture! I think in the end it was the versatility of the M8 as well as the falling prices that really pushed me into that purchase. I got a Ex Demo new M8 for £2250 from RG Lewis, London. I am happy. andym911 Posted February 15, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 15, 2010 Well done......a good choice! The M8 is really a great camera and very capable with a huge choice of old and new lenses. I am enjoying the X1 at the moment and it is proving to be a great performer. But an M8 will give you tremendous pleasure for sure.(get some old glass on it;)) Enjoy Andy
wda Posted February 15, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 15, 2010 Well done, Megadust! However don't think for one minute that the M8 and X1 are rivals. One day you may well add the X1 as a partner to the M8, particularly if your M8 is fitted with a wide angle or medium telephoto lens. They make a well balanced two lens outfit while eliminating ingress of dust in the M8 with lens changing. Perfect! Start saving.
