Stewart Weir Posted February 14, 2010 Share #1  Posted February 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Must say the more tuned in you get with this camera the better the results you will see. Obvious to say i guess but the thing is that the files this little camera produces never ceases to amaze me. Even taking out in the street at night and shooting at 1600 iso is great. The only bug for me remains the manual focusing or even a focus lock. Im rather hoping Leica fix this but nevertheless.. even the auto focus you get used to very quickly. Just for the record im now shooting with the OIS turned off.  Stewart Weir  The Leica X1 Files
Advertisement Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Hi Stewart Weir, Take a look here A Few More X1 Images. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
michael friedberg Posted February 15, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted February 15, 2010 I breally like your X1 Files pages, both relative to your photo skills and also demonstrating what the camera can do, Showing the images with Lightroom presets was clever. Thanks,

Thanks, Â Â I would like to see Leica bring out a wide angle adapter for the X1 to bring the focal length down to around 24mm and also a 50mm version f2.. with a tele adapter up to around 85mm. Â I could work with that! Â Thanks for the comments
wda Posted February 15, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted February 15, 2010 Stewart, while I share your thoughts on the quality of the camera I have never been a fan of add-on converters. Although my Elpro-D is super on my Digilux 2, it is very much limited to home rather than location use. I do feel that a wide angle version of the X (call it the X1W) with, say, a 24mm equivalent lens, would be extremely useful, but I cannot see Leica producing one. We can dream! Â What we want and what we are 'given are always 2 completely different things. Anyone remember the Konica Hexar 35mm f2 camera? An absolute gem and thats what i would like to see Leica produce with the M controls.. Dream on ehh.. !
