manuelecarlini Posted February 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Today I went to shot some photos with my 'new' beautiful Digilux 2. Here the first attempt in Black & White. I used to shot in RAW and set the WB in Black & White, so I tried the BW out of the camera and even the RAW workflof. Here the results: This is the JPG directly out of the camera Piazza di Spagna, Roma. This is shot in RAW and a little PP with Silver Efex Pro Piazza di Spagna, Roma. I've to say that I love the JPG BW and I think I'm going to shot directly in JPG in the future.. Bye, Manuele-

AlbertoDeRoma Posted February 13, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 13, 2010 Ciao Manuele, Congratulations on your D2 - you are in for LOT of fun. I have reached similar conclusions regarding the in-camera JPG with the D2. While there might be IQ advantages with the RAW if you do a lot of post-processing, the time it takes to save RAWs is too much for my tastes. I also like that I can 'compose' the picture in B&W in the viewfinders. Thawley and Overgaard, both of whom have tons more experience than I have in my little finger have reached the same conclusion - so who am I to argue :-). Ciao, Alberto P.S. Is it me, or there are a LOT of Italians in this forum?
