Babar760 Posted February 12, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 12, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I got this really good photo shoot financially back in 1966. I photo illustrated 4 children's books for Houghton-Mifflin Co. With the proceeds I bought myself a 1963 black XKE that belonged to an airline pilot. As a 20 year old kid I was in heaven! Here is a shot of it I took overlooking the Massachusetts turnpike back in 1966. I sold it for $ 1500. in 1973. Dumb move?

pauledell Posted February 12, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2010 Great picture and probably not the best deal you have ever made. What you got out of it won't even buy a good Leica lens today. Paul
stuny Posted February 12, 2010 Share #3 Posted February 12, 2010 Gorgeous shot of a lovely car. After the Series 1 (began in '61 and ended around '64) they never looked quite as good. When you consider the Moss gearbox, the electrics and other issues, for the time it was not a bad sale.
