luigi bertolotti Posted February 13, 2010 Share #21 Posted February 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Or (actually, my own guess!) it could be that the front ring screws off to reveal an external thread for a metal hood, like the WATE, Super-Elmar, the 21/24 luxes and 24 Elmar, and all the Summarits. That seems to be Leica's "new concept" for hoods, rather than plastic clip-ons. Good observation... I think is probable... the ring doesn't look "sliding" but could be indeed screw-removable... not clear, in the pic, if and how this operation would keep the front filter thread ... Advertisement Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Hi luigi bertolotti, Take a look here new 35mm lux?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
john_f Posted February 14, 2010 Share #22 Posted February 14, 2010 This would confirm what Leicarumors.com wrote last Jan 11 ("Will have screw lens hood like the Elmar 24") Have a look: New Leica 35mm Summilux Lens | Leica Rumors If Leica were to introduce a new Summilux-M 28mm (asph), they would cover the f/1.4 speed from 21mm to 50mm ! Speaking of which, if you had a choice between a new Summilux-M 28mm f/1.4 or a new Noctilux-M 35mm f/1 (!), which would you prefer? John F.

thrice Posted February 22, 2010 Share #25 Posted February 22, 2010 Anyone here saved and thus can post a picture of this new breast ? God I had to resist posting a breast in response. For a short time it seems google has captured it... I don't know if it's google saving it in low-res or if the original was very small as I didn't see the original.
