I think you guys are a bit nuts thinking about bidding on obviously fraudulent auctions to test ebay's protection policy. I'll guarantee you three people did not get M9s yesterday from ebay for $3478.

These are hijacked accounts and the rate these hijacked accounts are listing M9s is increasing on ebay. That latest one, hasn't sold anything over $26 since the new year with most of his stuff less than 5 bucks...yea and now he has 3 M9s sold at half retail? OK!:p

Buying a new M9 costs a considerable amount of money.

It therefore follows that for most people, they can use other cameras while they are waiting because , chances are, they have them already.

So it seems to me that the amount of whining and bellyaching about the slow supply of M9's, is from people who are used to getting what they want in life without delay.

Well, to put it bluntly - tough. Suck it up. Wait in line with everyone else.

If you can't be bothered to wait, then move on or pay over the odds in the secondary market for your M9.

I can only assume that the slow supply is because Leica are struggling to match demand. This is a good thing and points to a positive outlook for Leica's fortunes. In these troubled economic times, that can only be welcome.

In time, no doubt supply will improve as the latent pent-up demand is satisfied and things normalise. Then these pages can focus on the taking of pictures.
