David, if you like work with Aperture 3.X in 32 bits:

 

Click" in the Aperture icon; then "Cmd + i" (for open the information window) and -> check "Open in 32 bits Mode"(or similar, I'm translating...).

What if you don't get that option? When I select the Aperture icon and issue "cmd+I" I don't see a 32 bit option.

It appears that you click "cmd + l "; but it's "cmd + i ".

Aperture 3.1 is out now, which apparently sorts many of the issues listed in this thread. The update is about 24MB. Sadly if like me, you are running the trial version, the update will not install.

As said in my earlier post, I have a 64 bit machine but did not get the start in 32 bit option after pressing command i. This was resolved by booting in safe mode and then rebooting. The option then appeared.

 

I have now downloaded 3.01 and it seems to be a lot better though!
