Riley Posted December 12, 2006 Share #21 Posted December 12, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) are you sure it wasnt the road ? there is an engineering process, a sort of treads for the roads that sees a giant grinding machine chew treads into the road, either for resurfacing, or controlling aqua-plane properties if you look down the centre of the left lane, you can see where the grinding rollers (2) meet, its a slighty wider tread im not convinced its the camera.... if first prise is the M8, is second prise the 5D

thpeters Posted December 12, 2006 Share #23 Posted December 12, 2006 Hellooooooooooooo all of you, Why should it be dust on the sensor? He was taking this shot trought his window...of his car, can it maybe spots on his windshield? Gzeeez, there are people here on the forum who have really fun to put every thing down regarding the M8. Get a life people, shoot with the camera what you like, myself and many others we like and love Leica, period. Happy shooting all of you. Oh yes, there's dust on the sensor. Where did you get the idea there's a dust-removal function from?

Asher Kelman Posted December 13, 2006 Author Share #25 Posted December 13, 2006 (1) For RAW images, I believe C1 has a moire-reduction option (2) Use a photoshop plug-in such as: S2 Pro Moire Reducer (3) The way I do it: in photoshop select the affected area and de-saturate it (ie. remove the colour). Now use the colourise option to add colour back to make your selected area match its surroundings. Thanks nemwng for the kind help! Sean has also written about this and I'll refresh my memory. I had found no example where the moire was evident (like some people missed the magenta), it simply wasn't evident in a lot of product, landscape or even street photography and the issue of moire was something that plain didn't register on my mind. I do not see this moire as a limiting criticism of the camera, since I have not as yet found that it hurt anything I seriously wanted to do. Yet I'd like to know about it so I can work around these phenomena. I'm just practical. Still I'm on line for 3. Here's the DNG file for download!
